The release date for The Outer Worlds could be August 6 as it was recently revealed on Steam and then quickly removed. Obsidian is currently working on The Outer Worlds which is essentially a first-person RPG.
Recently, The Outer World Steam page was updated and it added new information like language support and more details about the game however most importantly, it also included the game’s release date which was mentioned to be August 6, 2019. It was later pulled from the official Steam page but it might give us a very clear indication about when the title is set to come out.
It is important to mention here that Obsidian has not officially announced any release date for The Outer Worlds and we only know of a release window which is late 2019. This recent leak could prove our point and the game might be coming out indeed on August 6, 2019. Obsidian has not commented on this date as well as of now.
Obsidian has a lot of experience in creating open-world RPGs and they have Fallout: New Vegas and Pillars of Eternity under their belt to support it as well. Their new title The Outer Worlds in set in the future and will offer players around 15 to 40 hours of gameplay. This might not be too long but it is certainly their shortest title to date.
Obsidian also gave a little cheek in their trailer by calling themselves the real creators of Fallout and after the buggy launch and disappointing sales of Fallout 76, they can certainly prove their worth by giving us a better RPG experience with their upcoming RPG The Outer Worlds.
