Starbreeze Studios and 505 Games have announced the release of a closed beta for Overkill’s The Walking Dead on the PC. The closed beta will be available on October 9 this year. Additionally, the console versions of the game will come on February 6 for the Xbox One and Playstation 4.
Since it is a closed beta, the only way you can get to play it is by pre-ordering the game. The game can be pre-ordered for a Standard Edition or a Digital deluxe Edition that allows you a total of four codes to share with friends.
OVERKILL’s The Walking Dead is a four player co-op action FPS, where you and your friends fight the dead as well as the living. Set in The Walking Dead Universe and created together with Robert Kirkman, you and your group try to survive in a post-apocalyptic Washington D.C.
The game can be played with friends as 4 play co-op makes you fight together against the zombies. Team up with your friends and fight through everything the apocalypse throws at you. Walkers are a constant threat, but it’s the living that should scare you the most.
Each character comes with their specific abilities and skill. Help your team by holding the frontline, supporting them with med bags, or killing enemies.
You can also increase you characters’ powers by leveling up or upgrading you camp’s defenses. Weapon modifications also make your approach silent and tactical, or loud and proud b shortening the barrel of your shotgun. Modify to fit your play style
The world will change with a scalable difficulty that the game offers. As you adapt more to the environment and enemy threat, the world will change to make it difficult for you as your level increases in the game. this is where playing with a number of people around you will matter most.
OVERKILL’S The Walking Dead immerses the player into a universe where every single move you make will run the risk of turning a quiet scavenge for loot into an intense adrenaline-fueled and action-packed fight for survival.
Overkills’s The walking Dead will release globally on November 6 for the PC. The game was originally announced in 2014 with a 2016 release date. However that was delayed until 2017 and for a second time, delayed until 2018.
