Review Overpass

Bigben and Zordix Racing have revealed the gameplay of their upcoming off-road simulation game Overpass and it shows the deep rock climbing mechanics that players will need to master in order to conquer the wild. Bigben is not new when it comes to making racing games as it has titles such as the long-running WRC franchise and the recently released Truck Racing Championship under its belt.

Overpass is a brand new direction for the publisher because it focuses on extreme off-road rock climbing and will see players using buggies and quads from some of the biggest companies in the world. The game features around 25 licensed buggies and quads from names such as Arctic Cat, Yamaha, Polaris, and Suzuki. The game will pit players against some of the toughest off-road terrains to overcome.

The areas will have scree slopes along with steep inclines coupled with difficult obstacles that will really push the players to their limits while making sure that they don’t push too hard. Overpass will feature around 40 tracks in varied terrain and environments and each race will offer a brand new challenge for players to overcome. Both hillclimbing and rock-crawling events must be completed in the best time possible.

Players will find themselves in mud, sand, rocks and other natural and man-made obstacles and each terrain type will bring a brand new challenge for them. Players will utilize the game’s advanced physics engine along with realistic and technical level design along with skills and careful management of their chosen vehicle to complete each stage.

Different game modes such as Career, Quick Race, Local Multiplayer including both split-screen and hotseat along with Online Multiplayer will ensure that players are never bored in Overpass. Online Multiplayer supports up to eight players. Each player will bring their own vehicle of choice and attempt to complete the course in the first position and win.

Overpass is slated to release on February 2020 for PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch and PC.
