Pathea Games, the award-winning indie studio, has announced the latest installment in its popular My Time series: My Time at Evershine. Building on the success of My Time at Sandrock and My Time at Portia, this new chapter promises to redefine the life-simulation genre, combining deep role-playing elements with an expansive and immersive experience. Aimed at both life-simulation and RPG fans, My Time at Evershine introduces an exciting new direction for the series with its mix of exploration, character progression, and town management.
This latest game in the franchise introduces a unique twist, allowing you to step into the role of Governor of a new settlement on the edge of the Free Cities. Unlike previous installments where you focused on completing essential tasks as a builder, Evershine elevates the player’s responsibilities. Starting from a modest campfire, you will be tasked with developing a thriving city-state, guiding the community while exploring the surrounding wilds and uncovering ancient secrets. A key feature of the game is the ability to recruit and manage NPCs, who handle routine tasks, allowing you to focus on strategic decision-making and long-term city planning.

The game’s fresh art direction promises a more expansive and realistic world. Environments will be more varied, and characters will have enhanced animations, thanks to motion-capture technology. Additionally, My Time at Evershine will feature a 40+ hour narrative, with an intriguing antagonist bringing even more adventure and depth to the story.
For the first time in the series, Evershine will introduce a multiplayer co-op mode, enabling up to four players to join the adventure. Friends and family can work together to build the city, explore the world, and uncover its secrets. The cooperative mode will feature shared resources and money, with the host controlling the pace of the game’s main storyline.
Pathea Games has also confirmed that Evershine will include full mod support, allowing you to customize your experience in single-player and multiplayer modes. Additionally, the game will offer expanded relationship-building systems, allowing you to form deeper connections with characters and recruit followers to aid them in day-to-day tasks.
Though still in early development, My Time at Evershine is shaping up to be a major evolution for the franchise. Pathea Games is currently seeking funding through Kickstarter, with the campaign set to go live on September 24th. If you are a fan of the franchise and would love to see the new title come to life, consider supporting the project and help shape the development of the game, which is planned for release on PC, Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and future Nintendo platforms. Additionally, a Steam page for the game is also live where you can add the game to your wishlist and support the developer.
