Developer Owlcat Games has announced that their critically acclaimed CRPG Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous has managed to sell 1 million units across the world. The sales combine releases on PC, Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch (cloud version). Launched back in September 2021, Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is an indirect sequel to Pathfinder: Kingmaker and started its journey as a Kickstarter journey. It is based on the tabletop Adventure Path campaign of the same name.
Alexander Mishulin, Creative Director at Owlcat Games comments on reaching 1 million sales of Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous:
Reaching such a milestone again with our second game is a very important sign for us that the company is developing in the right direction. We are keen on bringing the best cRPG experience on the market and will continue to fill the rich world of Pathfinder with more content including premium and free DLCs.
To celebrate this massive milestone, Owlcat Games has also announced a new premium DLC for Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous. This will be the first premium DLC from Season Pass 2 that will arrive on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on March 7, 2023. The cloud version for Nintendo Switch will arrive at a later date. The premium DLC is called The Last Sarkorians and it features a new companion for the Knight Commander’s party and a new playable class as well. The ever-changing Shifter will be joining the ranks of Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous giving players a new class to play around with.
The official press release details the new expansion as:
The nation of Sarkoris was destroyed by the demons, yet the last of its people are ready to fight back. Meet Ulbrig Olesk, a Sarkorian shifter capable of turning into a mighty griffon, who remembers Sarkoris as it was before Areelu Vorlesh opened the Worldwound. Take him into your party and experience the crusade through the eyes of the last surviving tribal chieftain of old Sarkoris. Explore a new region, fight new enemies… And maybe even find new love!
You will also find new abilities, similar to Ulbrig’s, which will be available for the player as well with the new Shifter class. You will be able to choose one of six available archetypes, fight as a humanoid with sharp claws or transform into a mighty beast. You can even do both. Owlcat Games has also announced a massive discount on both Steam and GOG for achieving this great milestone. As of now, you can get 70% off on the base game, Mythic and Commander Editions, and 50% off on the released premium DLCs. The discount will run until January 26, 2023.
After its initial PC release, Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous was released on consoles last September, the game also received its Through the Ashes DLC in April 2022 while the first story DLC for the game was released back in February 2022. We also interviewed the developers Owlcat Games so make sure that you check that out as well.
