PlayStation State of Play December 2019 Recap – All Reveals and Updates

Sony just held its final State of Play presentation of 2019 and we got to see some of the best reveals and updates for the upcoming year. We finally got to see Ghost of Tsushima return back to the spotlight although briefly but we also got to see Resident Evil 3 making a comeback next year which will include the previously announced Project Resistance now called Resident Evil Resistance online mode.

Untitled Goose Game PS4 Announcement

The famous game that has taken over by storm over the past couple of months is finally heading over to the PlayStation 4. After releasing for PC, and the Nintendo Switch, Untitled Goose from House House is releasing next week on December 17 for PS4 players. Untitled Goose is about a goose that you control and roam around town, messing around with people and doing whatever you want. The game has no purpose but is way too much fun nonetheless.

Spellbreak Reveal

The magical battle royale game Spellbreak developed by Proletariat is heading to the PS4 next year when it enters its closed beta stage on the platform. As opposed to the guns and weapons you are used to in other famous battle royale games, Spellbreak is about fighting with magic spells to defeat opponents. The closed beta does not have a confirmed date as of yet, but it is expected to release in Spring 2020.

Dreams Release Date Announcement

Media Molecule, which is known for games like LittleBigPlanet has finally announced the release date for its latest title Dreams. The game is set to launch on the PS4 next year on February 14, 2019. Dreams is all about creating various styles of games that you can make, or you can play the games that other players make online. The trailer released showed us tons of different games that can be created in Dreams and will get anyone excited to get this new upcoming title.

Superliminal PS4 Announcement

Superliminal is the perception based puzzle game that is set to make its way t the PS4 next year. After its successful launch on PC, the game is set to launch on Sony’s console and will truly leave you mesmerized. The trailer itself does not give it much justice, but you can get the gist of it and how it works. You play as an unknown person who wakes up into the experimental program that has you solving perception-based puzzles by moving objects around.

Paper Beast Revealed

A brand PS VR title Paper Beast was also revealed during today’s State of Play livestream. This unique VR Odyssey is slated to release in Q1 of 2020.

Kingdom Hearts III – Re Mind Expansion Announced

Kingdom Hearts III kicked off 2019 and now its expansion Re Mind is all set to kickstart our 2020. The first expansion for Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind is releasing on January 23, 2020, and it will feature an all-new campaign along with new playable characters and tons of new content.

Predator Hunting Grounds Release Date Revealed

Sony announced the release date of the highly-anticipated title Predator Hunting Grounds. The game is coming out on PS4 next year on April 24, 2020.

Babylon’s Fall Gameplay Reveal

Square Enix showcased a brand new trailer from its upcoming title Babylon’s Fall. The trailer showed the actual gameplay from the under-development title for the first time. More information about the game will be revealed in Summer 2020.

Resident Evil 3 Remake Coming out Next Year

In a surprise announcement, Capcom revealed that Resident Evil 3 Remake will arrive next year on April 3, 2020. It will be the singleplayer campaign of the previously announced Project Resistance 4v1 title which is now Resident Evil Resistance.

Ending Note

In celebration of Sony’s 25th Anniversary, the father of PlayStation Ken Kutaragi gave out a special message to all fans of PlayStation.

Ghost of Tsushima Trailer

Sony ended the presentation with half of a brand new trailer from its long-forgotten exclusive Ghost of Tsushima. You can check out the half trailer shown today at the end of the presentation below. The rest of the trailer will be showcased during the upcoming The Game Awards 2019 on December 12, 2019.
