The Pokemon Company earlier announced and revealed its new campaign for this year’s Pokemon Day called ‘Pokemon Together’. As part of the celebrations this year, The Pokemon Company is inviting Trainers from around the globe in order to celebrate the spirit of connectivity across the entertainment franchise in 2023. February 27 is celebrated as Pokemon Day around the world because the very first Pokemon video games were released on this date, and it started one of the most iconic entertainment franchises currently present in the world.
Pokemon currently has video games, TV shows, merchandise, theme parks, movies, card games, and whatnot. The Pokemon Trading Card Game is one of the most popular card games out there and it recently received its Crown Zenith Expansion back in January with Special Illustrations and Galarian Gallery subset. Another big hit is the mobile game Pokemon Go which is developed by Niantic and is currently available on iOS and Android devices.
This game revolutionized gaming on mobile games as it uses real-world map technology to spread Pokemon in the real world and you can explore your local neighborhoods and locations to find and catch Pokemon. We have seen many spin-offs but the best one still remains Pokemon Go when it comes to this genre. Pokemon Go is continually receiving new updates and we might get some new Pokemon Go news during the upcoming Pokemon Presents as well. Some of the players are also hoping to see classic Pokemon titles coming to Nintendo Switch as part of the classic GBA collection available to Nintendo Switch Online subscribers.
