The Pokemon Company has announced that the latest expansion for the Pokemon Trading Card Game featuring Pokemon from the Scarlet & Violet games is now available. The new expansion will be available in all booster packs, Elite Trainer Boxes, and special collections at participating retailers around the world. The new expansion will allow Trainers to add Pokemon from the latest Pokemon titles Scarlet & Violet to their collection.
Pokemon Trading Card Game: Scarlet & Violet adopts an updated take on Pokemon ex, a gameplay mechanic that features Pokemon with high HP along with powerful attacks and abilities. It also introduces Tera Pokemon ex to the Pokemon Trading Card Game. Prominent cards that will attract your attention in the new Scarlet & Violet expansion include:
- 12 double rare Pokémon ex, including two Tera Pokémon ex featuring Arcanine and Gyarados
- 12 ultra rare Pokémon ex and eight ultra rare Supporter cards
- 24 illustration rare Pokémon
- 10 special illustration rare Pokémon and Supporter cards
- Six hyper rare gold etched cards, which can include Pokémon ex, Trainer, and Energy cards
Earlier this year, the Pokemon Trading Card Game received the Crown Zenith Expansion which arrived with special illustrations and a Galarian gallery subset. Previous additions to the Pokemon Trading Card Game include the Pokemon Trading Card Game expansion Sword & Shield – Lost Origin which was also based on the previously released Pokemon games on the Nintendo Switch. Before that, Pokemon TCG: Sword and Shield received the Astral Radiance expansion pack. Another great addition to the collection was the Pokemon Go product collection for the Pokemon Trading Card Game.
