Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout Will Be Locked to 120FPS on PC
Black Ops 4 is coming to PC via Battle.net exclusively so there is no other way of getting the game however there is a small trick by which you can force it to install Battle.net to download the game right now. This was first discovered by a Reddit user who goes by the name of CrypticPlayer when he reported that if the beta is still installed in the system, it will automatically update to the full game.
After this, another Reddit user Mendec812 reported another major finding that even if you do not have the beta installed, you can download the full Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 right now without even purchasing the game.
To use this simple method, all you need to do is head to the installation folder of Battle.net. Press ‘Shift’ and right click. Choose ‘Open PowerShell Window Here’. Once the window opens, type ‘.\Battle.net.exe –game=viper –install’. Do not add the quotation marks. This method has been tested on Windows 10 and 8 both so it should work for you if you are using these two Windows.
If you cannot access the PowerShell, then do not feel bad. We have another trick for you. Simply change your Battle.net shortcut or create a new one. Right click on the icon and open its properties. In the ‘Target’ field, add ‘-game=viper –install’ at the end of this field. You must leave a space between the end of the file path and the code explained above.
This should trigger the download. Currently this method is working for everyone who has tried it. Activision might fix this or they might not because people will still need to purchase the game in order to play it. This little trick will only help players to pre-load the game quickly and be ready to jump in the action when it launches in two days.
