With September right around the corner, Sony has officially announced the PS Plus Games for September 2023 which all subscribers will be getting as part of their subscription. The three games coming as part of the monthly games include Saints Row, Black Desert – Traveler Edition, and Generation Zero. These three games will go live on the PS Plus screen for you to download on September 5, 2023, and will remain there until October 2, 2023. If you still have to add the games from the previous month to your collection, you only have a handful of days left to do so.
Starting with the very first game, Saints Row is the 2022 release which is also considered as the reboot of the series but is also actually the worst title in the franchise. Upon its release, the game received poor critical reception and the fans did not like it either. While the game features the biggest map that the franchise has ever seen, it is also the most generic and boring with nothing much to do in it. Saints Row is set in Santo Ileso where you will shoot, drive, and wingsuit your way to the top. The game features drop-in co-op, which is a great feature but other than that, the game has very little to offer you.
Next, we have Black Desert – Traveler Edition which is a PS4 title and an open-world fantasy MMORPG. It features PvE combat, large-scale PvP siege wars, different character classes and combat types for you to specialize in. The game also allows you to take part in different pursuits such as trading, fishing, alchemy, and tons more options. The Traveler Edition combines both the base game and different add-ons such as The Traveler Item Pack. Black Desert is yet again a mediocre MMORPG and will require a subscription for you to play the game.
The third and final game for this month is Generation Zero which is a first-person open-world adventure game set in the hostile world of 1980s Sweden. You will battle deadly machine enemies alone or with three friends in a seamless online co-op as you discover the truth behind what has happened to the region. You will scavenge parts from your killed enemies and use them to craft new equipment, weapons, gear, and ammunition and use them to defeat even more enemies. The game also offers base building where you will spend your free time securing it and creating a space where you can do your crafting and everything else.
After announcing such brilliant titles, Sony decided to announce another great news for all PlayStation fans. The prices of all tiers of the PlayStation Plus subscriptions are going up because players just want to spend more and play more mediocre titles in the future as part of their subscription. The prices are hiking from September 6, 2023, for PlayStation Plus 12-month subscriptions globally. The new prices for PlayStation Plus 12-month subscription plans are:
- PlayStation Plus Essential 12-Month Subscription
- 79.99 USD | 71,99 Euro | 59.99 GBP | 6,800 Yen
- PlayStation Plus Extra 12-Month Subscription
- 134.99 USD | 125,99 Euro | 99.99 GBP | 11,700 Yen
- PlayStation Plus Premium 12-Month Subscription
- 159.99 USD | 151,99 Euro | 119.99 GBP | 13,900 Yen
The new prices for the 12-month subscription will remain at a discounted price when compared to purchasing the 1-month or 3-month subscription over a 12-month period. If you currently have a PS Plus subscription, if you decide to extend it on or after September 6, you will have to pay the new prices. However, the prices will remain the same for PS Plus subscribers until their next renewal date which occurs on or after November 6, 2023.
