PS4 Exclusive Horizon Zero Dawn Might Be Heading to PC This Year

Horizon Zero Dawn PC

It turns out one of the best PS4 exclusives Horizon Zero Dawn might be heading to PC later this year. This was revealed by Jason Schreier of Kotaku who stated in his article that this news was confirmed by not 1, not 2 but 3 people who are familiar with Sony’s plan but they spoke anonymously since they were not allowed to speak with the press. So far, Sony has not issued an official statement on this.

This is not the first time that Sony has allowed its exclusives to launch on other titles. We’ve seen a whole lot of Quantic Dream titles make their way to PC via Epic Games Store with titles including Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls and Detroit: Become Human. The first two titles were considered as two of the best PS3 exclusives which were even released on PS4 as a bundle. Last year, Hideo Kojima also announced that the previously announced PS4 exclusive Death Stranding will also be released on PC.

However, Horizon Zero Dawn is the first major PS4 exclusive which is heading to PC. I am saying major here because Horizon Zero Dawn is actually one of those titles which helped in boosting the sales of PS4 console itself. This is a very big move by Sony but it also makes the fans of PS platform a little worried. The exclusives had been one of the best aspects PS players had over PC and Xbox One players but with different PS exclusives making their way to PC and other platforms, they are losing their best card in platform wars.

Releasing video games on multiple titles is always great because video games should be played by everyone. PS4 had some really amazing titles and it’s a shame that many people who own a PC or Xbox One were unable to play and experience these amazing titles just because they were PS4 exclusives. With Horizon Zero Dawn coming to PC, we might see more of PS4 exclusives making their way to PC in the future allowing a more diverse gaming community experiencing them as well.
