Developer Shift Up has announced the release date of their upcoming PS5 exclusive Stellar Blade. Stellar Blade will be released exclusively on PS5 on April 26, 2025, and this news comes with a brand-new gameplay trailer showcasing a much-needed update on the title. The new trailer gives us a small teaser of content that we will experience in the game when it comes out. It features core combat and other elements that will help us understand just what Stellar Blade is all about.

The six-minute-long gameplay trailer gives us a pretty good look at Stellar Blade including its main character Eve and the post-apocalyptic earth where the story of the game begins. Eve is a warrior who descends from an off-world Colony to defeat the Naytibas. Naytibas is humanity’s biggest enemy that has suddenly appeared on the planet, and it is now on the verge of destruction. They seem to be attacking the human race at the will of a higher entity composed of an Alpha and an Elder. Eve arrives on Earth and finds herself in a destroyed world where she meets Adam and Lily who are survivors and join forces together to defeat the Naytibas and work alongside the remaining humans in the last city of Xion.

Xion is a huge city connected to a semi-open region called the Wasteland and the Great Desert. These places are filled with secrets, and you will meet many different people here as you help them and complete Eve’s goals along the way. Xion is made sustainable by the massive source of energy called Hyper Cells and one of the missions will include gathering these for ensuring energy supply to the city. The fields contain plenty of these Hyper Cells and you will need to collect them and bring them back to Xion to bring them back to its formal glory. As you explore the world, you will pick up items like Exospines or Gears while acquiring SP EXP which will unlock powerful skills for you.
Apart from this, you will also obtain different cosmetic items such as costumes, accessories, and hairstyles. You will be able to customize the visual look of Eve according to your taste. The game also features a diverse soundtrack, and you will hear it while you are exploring these semi-open areas. The soundtrack includes different genres ranging from relaxing tunes at the camp to music that suits a destroyed city.
