2020 is the year of next-gen consoles and the year is already half gone. Both Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 are slated for release later this year however Sony still has to reveal its console along with the games coming to the console. Sony previously announced a PS5 game reveal event for June 4 however the event was later canceled because of the ongoing riots and protests in the USA however now Sony has announced a rescheduled date for its PS5 game reveal event.
The new date and time for the PS5 game reveal event is now June 11 at 1 pm Pacific Time/9 pm BST. The event is now confirmed for this date and time and we hope that this time around, we can finally get to see all the amazing games that Sony has planned for the launch of PS5. Sid Shuman, Senior Director at SIE detailed that this will not be a livestream. The show will be pre-recorded and it will also run 1080p and 30 frames per second so we cannot expect to see the true power of the PS5 console at this point.
However, he recommends in the official blog post that fans must try to wear headphones during the show because ‘there’s some cool audio work in the show’ and fans might not be able to experience it while listening from phone or laptop speakers. The pre-recorded show will last a little longer than an hour and it will feature games from different studios big or small that we will be able to play when PS5 launches later this year. Chances are that not all of the games revealed during this event will be launch titles.
The event will be broadcasted over at PlayStation’s YouTube and Twitch channels on June 11 at 1 pm Pacific Time/9 pm BST so you better make sure to clear up your schedule.
