With the start of the new year, everyone has their own resolutions and plans that they want to complete. Publisher Kwalee is going along the same road and has shared its own plans and goal for the year 2023. Kwalee is aiming to release four games this year and has detailed all four of them along with their trailers. These four games are ROBOBEAT, Space Chef, Wildmender, and Die by the Blade. The publisher announced that it will be publishing ROBOBEAT and Wildmender back in 2022.
ROBOBEAT is a rhythm shooter where you will be syncing your shots to the beat. The more you sync your shots with the beat, the more you will increase your damage with a bonus boost. In ROBOBEAT, you will wall run, grapple hook, slide, and even bunny hop in order to progress through the haphazard mansion of a crazed robot-showman. Performing combos will allow you o get different tunes of the same gun.
Space Chef is a 2D open-world action-cooking adventure game that can be played solo or with up to 3 friends in a local couch co-op mode to build the best restaurant in the galaxy. You start your journey in Space Chef as an aspiring chef with only a simple space trailer and the remnants of your grandma’s cookbook to your name. In the game, you can build your home, explore the galaxy, cook up cosmic cuisine and become the greatest space chef in the universe.
Developed by Muse Games, Wildmender is a survival exploration game where you will face the challenge of restoring the environment. You will explore the landscape, revive withering plant life, cultivate your garden, and build a better world. Wildmender can be played solo or with up to 4 players online in co-op mode.
Die by the Blade is the fourth title announced by Kwalee in its 2023 portfolio and it is a unique fusion of fast-paced, sword fighting action with dynamic one-hit-kill combat, diverse weapon playstyles and online multiplayer. Die by the Blade blends strategic gameplay with a brutal, calculated touch as each weapon in the game is unique. The game will feature different characters using these weapons that can be customized further based on your own personal likings.
