Puddle Knights Nintendo Switch

Indie developer Lockpickle has announced that its brilliant mud-based puzzle game Puddle Knights is releasing on Nintendo Switch next month. Released earlier on PC via Steam, Puddle Knights is now releasing on consoles starting with Nintendo Switch. Puddle Knights is a turn-based puzzle game featuring medievil scenery and unique mud-and-cape based gameplay.

Your main goal in the game is to control some knights who must use their capes in order to help the nobles cross the muddy streets without getting their clothes dirty. As the player, you must control and move around the knights in a strategic fashion so that their capes fall on muds and also create a path ahead towards the exit of the level so that the nobles can cross safely. For this very purpose, the game also introduces various advanced mechanics such as tearing the capes in half and stepping on the heads of the Knights.

The levels in Puddle Knights increase in complexity and difficulty as you progress in the game. More and more advanced mechanics become part of the puzzles which include controlling multiple knights at the same time, making bridges using the heads of knights and even tearing up capes to have them cover part of the dirty street while the knight covers another section of the street with his leftover cape.

Key features of Puddle Knights include:

  • 100+ head-scratching levels of increasing difficulty
  • Step on heads
  • Tear up capes, hold down drawbridge, and perform other inventive tactical maneuvers
  • A fresh take on logic puzzles: no pressure plates, keys to collect or boxes to push
  • Mistake-making and experimentation encouraged by undo and reset functions
  • No rush: all the time in the world to think and analyze
  • Brand new Sky High and Lava World DLC included with the Switch version.
