Quantic Dreams has announced that it is currently working on a brand-new Star Wars title called Star Wars Eclipse in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games. Quantic Dream details that this will be their most ambitious project until now and currently the game is still in its early stages of development. The studio showcases the project with a trailer premiering at The Game Awards 2021. Check it out below:
Star Wars Eclipse is the first video game that is set in an uncharted region of the Outer Rim during the High Republic era which is also known as the golden age of the Jedi. Quantic Dream will use its expertise in delivering deeply branching narratives and will go well beyond their already established acclaim.
The Player’s choices will play an important role in the game and every decision that you make in the game will have a dramatic impact throughout the course of the game. Star Wars Eclipse will feature new places to explore through untold stories with unique characters, each with its own path, abilities, and roles to play. Since this is a new title, it will not be tied to any one of the previous Star Wars titles as well.
Star Wars Eclipse is currently in a pretty early development phase so naturally, we have a pretty small amount of information about the title at this point. Two of Monolith’s studios are currently working on the title, one in Paris, France while the second one is in Montreal, Canada. Quantic Dream will handle publishing for the title worldwide however Monolith is currently hiring for top talents in both of its locations. Additional details about the game will be revealed in the coming months.
