Remedy Entertainment Developing New Game Set in Control and Alan Wake Universe

Remedy Entertainment New Game

Remedy Entertainment has just confirmed that they are working on a new game that is set in between the universe of their recently released title Control, and Alan Wake. The confirmation comes alongside the trailer release of Control’s DLC expansion.

The developer has said to have signed publishing agreements with a major publisher for the company’s next two unannounced games. According to the agreements, the publisher will fully fund the game development costs, of which Remedy Entertainment is entitled to get a 50% share of the net revenues from the games. In addition, Remedy will retain the ownership of both the games’ IP.

The first project is an AAA multi-platform game already in pre-production and previously referred to as the “unannounced third project”. The second is a new smaller-scale project set in the same franchise. Both projects are being developed on Remedy’s proprietary Northlight game engine and tools.

Remedy does promise more details soon, but they will be regarding the partnership between the developer and the publisher. In the same statement, the studio also confirms that both the games will be launched on the next generation of console platforms and PC in the next few years.

On the other hand, Control is set to receive another DLC expansion called Awe. The story expansion will answer about the disappearance of Alan Wake. According to Remedy, the disappearance of Alan Wake might be in the long-sealed Investigations Sector, along with something that is waiting for Jesse Faden in the dark.

The Control AWE expansion is set to launch this month on August 27 and will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. You can check out the trailer below.
