In Remnant: From the Ashes, your main resource for upgrading equipment is Iron. There are different types of Iron in the game and as you progress in the game, you will be required to find additional types of Iron to upgrade your Equipment. The four different types of Iron in the game are:
- Iron
- Forged Iron
- Galvanized Iron
- Hardened Iron
At the start of the game, your equipment will be at a low level and you will need to find Iron to upgrade it. The simple Iron is enough to upgrade your items at the beginning. However, when you reach level 5 and more with your equipment, you will be required to find the much better forms of Iron to upgrade your equipment.
From level 5-10, you will be required to use Forged Iron to upgrade your equipment. From level 10-15, you must use Galvanized Iron to upgrade your equipment. For the final upgrades which are from level 15 -20, you must find and use Hardened Iron to upgrade your equipment.
Finding Iron for Equipment Upgrades
You will find all four types of Iron in all areas of the game. However, you will only find them in the world if you have reached their required levels in the game. The first area of the game is Earth and you can begin finding all four types of Iron right from the start if your level is high enough. Once your equipment level is high enough, you will automatically begin to finding advanced Iron types in the game.
