Capcom just held a special Resident Evil 2 launch celebration live stream and during this stream, they announced a lot of good news for the fans of the series. The launch of the game is not all as the developer plans a lot of post-launch content for Resident Evil 2 as well including Ghost Survivors mode and classic skins.
The best bit for this announcement is the newly announced Ghost Survivors Mode which is coming to Resident Evil 2 after launch. This will be a free content pack for the game and it will bring completely new mechanics to the table.
According to the developers, Ghost Survivors mode will have random elements and players will be able to explore the game world with different characters. The overall performance of the players will reward them with points.
Players can later use these points at the in-game store where they will be able to purchase different items to use in the mode. This mode will introduce some new characters as well such as Robert Kendo and mayor’s daughter, Katherine.
Apart from this new mode, Resident Evil 2 will also get classic skins in a limited promotion. These skins are straight from the classic Resident Evil 2 game and fans will love the classic look on their favorite characters in the Resident Evil 2 Remake. Both Claire and Leon will receive these classic costumes.
The promo will begin right at the launch of the game but costumes will be added to the game later on March 22. They will be free as well just like the Ghost Survivors mode. Capcom surely looks like on its way of delivering the best Resident Evil 2 experience.

At this point all this post-launch content has been confirmed for the Japanese market. Capcom has not announced them for the western market however we are sure that they will soon announce them for the West as well.
