This Resident Evil 8 Village Files Locations Guide will show you where to find all the File locations in the game. Files are a type of collectibles in the game required to collect for the 100% completion of Resident Evil 8 Village.

In total, there are 47 Files that can be found all throughout your adventure in the story. While you may run into some of the collectibles as they are in plain sight, others are well hidden in places where you can easily overlook them. Scribbled Note	On the room to the left after you meet Hag
Goat of Warding Placard	Graveyard in the village on the candle lit shrine with the goat
Dangerous Creature	Luiza’s House before she calls you inside
Guest Book	Inside Castle Dimitrescu entrance, next to the painting of the Dimitrescu Daughters
The Labyrinths	First floor of Castle Dimitrescu, in the Merchant’s Room
Winemaking History	Inside the Wine Room on the second floor of Castle Dimitrescu.
A Maid’s Diary	In the Basement of the Castle Dimitrescu, after your fall caused by Cassandra
Treatment Candidates	In the basement level 1 of the Castle, where it will be in the room after the Hall of War, placed on top of a table
Observation Report	In the prison after, just after the Treatment Candidates file

Craftsman’s Note	In the save point house on the right after you beat Alcina and exit the castle.
Leonardo’s Message	In the house next to the red chimney in the village, inside where you find the Wooden Animal body

Church Computer	After you exit Castle Dimitrescu, go into the Church of the Village to get this file
Gardener’s Diary	In the Gardener’s House next to House Beneviento
Vasile’s Final Testament	In the East Old Town house where the werewolf throws you
The Reservoir and Giant Fish	Inside the Boathouse before you ride the boat.
Changing the Cranks	Inside a truck at The Reservoir, where it will be on the driver seat
Moreau’s Diary 1	After draining the water and following Moreau, enter the small house you see when you enter this area
Moreau’s Diary 2	After the fight with Moreau, in the room where you first saw the boss
Moreau’s Diary of Experiments	Inside a chest that contains eh M1851 Wolfsbane weapon when you leave The Reservoir
Analysis Results	After the boat ride, dock it and then go inside the cave on the right. The file will be at the end of this tunnel
Ernest’s Diary	In the Cannibal’s Storehouse where you find the Cannibal’s Plunder, it will be inside a back room with the meat
Officer’s Diary	Inside the basement of the Stronghold, next to a typewriter
Experiment Notes	After you come out from the underground section of The Stronghold, turn left and go down the hall where it will be on a table
Development Note 1	This will be inside the storeroom int eh factory on the B4 level. It will be on top of a table
Development Note 2	On the same level, after you climb the meat grinder. It will be inside the room after the stairs, on a table to the left.
Sturm	In the room you use to open with the Heisenberg’s Key
Heisenberg’s Diary	After Sturm boss fight, it will be in the next room with Heisenberg’s cigar
Chris’s Computer	Before the fight with Heisenberg and the cutscene with Chris, the computer will be on the table.
