Resident Evil is one of the most successful and long-running franchises of all times. We have seen some of the best horror games ever under the name of Resident Evil. The series did take little dip towards the downward spiral with Resident Evil 5 and 6 however the developer quickly bounced back and gave us Resident Evil VII which a brand new take for the franchise and it brought back the franchise to its formal glory.
After the huge success of Resident Evil VII, Capcom kept going and delivered the Resident Evil 2 at the start of this year and it was just as a bigger success as the previous title in the franchise. While VII was a soft reboot for the franchise, Resident Evil 2 Remake was a remake of the classic Resident Evil 2 game which was released on PS1 and it was also a huge success. After these two games, our eyes are set for the next title from Capcom in the Resident Evil series.
It turns out that we might not need to wait for a long time for that to happen. If you are a fan of Resident Evil franchise then you might have heard of the Resident Evil Ambassadors program which is the premium membership club for all Resident Evil fans and it provides them with special newsletters, inside scoops and allows them to track their game progress.
Members of this ambassador program were recently sent invited to try out an under-development game next month. This is huge news for us Resident Evil fans because it means that it most probably is the next Resident Evil title or in some other case, another horror game under the name of Resident Evil. According to the invite, the testing dates are September 8 and 9, 2019 and the location is Tokyo, Japan.
After the remake of Resident Evil 2, fans of the franchise are looking forward to the remake of everyone’s favorite Resident Evil 3 because after Mr. X, everyone wants to see the Nemesis make a return to the modern consoles. Details are not yet known about the under-development title as Capcom is keeping it in the shadows and might surprise us all with an announcement anytime soon. We are waiting for that day patiently.
Which title do you think the Resident Evil Ambassadors are going to test next month? Let us know in the comments section below.
