Indie developer 95 Pixels has revealed its brand new retro platformer Motherboard. It is an action-adventure game that is settled inside a computer and you take on the role of Bit, an inhabitant of the motherboard who must save the world from viruses. Check out the reveal trailer for Motherboard below before we jump into the details:

Motherboard is a traditional platformer however it comes with a unique setting. The game is set inside a desktop computer and the components of the PC server as the inhabitants of this unique world where everyone is living a worry-free life in the digital world. Players play as Bit, who is an experienced worker and is involved in extracting energy created by the laser dragon. Everything is going fine until one day when the Motherboard is attacked by a deadly virus.

The game’s world is designed based on different computer components and each component represents a city, settlement, or area. You will get to explore the soaring towers of the Procesopolis, the endless voodoo swamp, or the rotating sun. As you explore the world, you will rescue your brothers and sisters, find shelter, and find the one responsible for the attack.

A Steam page for Motherboard is now live and you can add the game to your Wishlist right now as well. There is no word on the release date as of now or if the game will eventually find its way towards consoles. So far, the game has only been announced for PC.
