Initially released as a mobile game on iOS and Android platforms, Hyperforma is a cyberpunk puzzler by HeroCraft and Nord Unit. Hyperforma is yet another cyberpunk game but luckily this time things are a bit different, this time around there is a lot mixed in together like puzzles and there is plenty of shooting involved as well. But do they make this title any good? Find it out in our review of Hyperforma for Nintendo Switch.
Break Orbit
Hyperforma is a complicated breakout game, your sole goal is to clear out all the blocks surrounding a central node and then smash it. It all starts with a flick that sends your avatar bouncing into space
There’s a button in the middle (bottom of your screen) that launches an attack which is always aimed at the node but won’t let you hit if the node’s all surrounded, game progression lets you unlock other tools to use as an offense.
One interesting thing the game has is the way you can change your view of blocks as they are in 3D. you turn and twist them around to find a weakness.
At the side of the screen, there are red markers and they move when you move the core that’s being hacked. Hit one of them and the challenge resets, there are block who do the same when they flash red and other blocks can also be used to change the shape you’re smashing into
And that’s Pretty Much It.
Yeah, and we are not kidding. while at its core and even as the while thing Hyperforma doesn’t offer much and does fall on the repetitive side quiet shortly. It’s not a bad game at all but also nothing special of sorts that keeps you playing. However, if you still want to give this a go, it is still a pretty decent action title.
Verdict
Hyperforma is an indie game that is high on visuals and mixes up two popular elements to make a decent videogame. sadly it falls short and becomes repetitive very soon.
Final Verdict: 5/10
