Review: Poly Bridge 2 – A Fantastic Puzzle Bridge Builder

Review Poly Bridge 2

Ahhh Poly Bridge 2. What can I say, triangles, triangles, and more triangles! Also known as Triangle Simulator 2. Jokes aside, this is a puzzle game that I can get behind. Poly Bridge 2 is a brilliant cartoonish physics-based game where your objective is to build bridges. This is our review of Poly Bridge 2 in which we try to build some bridges and try not to fall down in the water.

It’s like Poly Bridge 1 but much better. The game has simple mechanics to grasp but it is difficult to master. You are given a budget limit and you have to build a bridge within the limit. However, there is no restriction as you can exceed the budget.

You build bridges by laying down roads and then creating struts so that the bridge can sustain the stress. I laugh every time my bridge collapses. Get ready to fail a lot in the game but there’s humor in those failures.

You can place roads anywhere, there is no restriction. You will have to use Hydraulics in certain stages to make a draw bridge. Another thing that I liked about the game is that you can skip any level you want, and all the levels are already unlocked for you. So, if you cannot clear a level and want to go to the next one you can easily do that.

There is no perfect solution for making a bridge and sometimes you will end up making funny bridges which break after the vehicle moves on them but was able to reach the goal. Graphics are simple and look great and you can easily run this on a potato.

There is also a leaderboard in the game. You can top the leadership by using the budget as less as possible and making a bridge that can take the vehicle across. You can create crazy bridges like creating a ramp that slings the car across and breaks while your car reaches the goal post.

There’s a detailed level editor in the game as well. The level editor allows you to make anything you want. Place unbreakable joints, hydraulics, static joints, etc. and create the level of your dreams and share it with other people.

Final Verdict:

If you like puzzle games, and if you were a fan of the original, I highly recommend this title. A puzzle game where deterministic puzzle meets fun. You will have a great time creating bridges that fail.
