ROCKFISH Games has teased some of the content that will be featured in the upcoming EVERSPACE 2 Zharkov: The Vortex content update. Zharkov: The Vortex is the second major update for EVERSPACE 2 since its Early Access release and it is scheduled to arrive in the game next month at the end of July. Check out the teaser trailer released by ROCKFISH below before we jump into any additional details:
The teaser trailer gives us a glimpse of the third star system that will be featured in the upcoming Zharkov: The Vortex content update. It will lead you much deeper into the mystery of the Ancients, a powerful alien race, as well as the shady business being conducted here by the Grady & Brunt mining operation. Both of these two factions are already part of EVERSPACE 2 however with the upcoming update, players will be able to dig deeper into the mystery and learn more about both of the factions.
The update will bring with it new natural hazards, weapon types along with a new planetary location which is also featured in the teaser trailer above. Key features of the new Zharkov: The Vortex content update for EVERSPACE 2 include:
- New Star System – Zharkov: The Vortex takes players deep into the eye of the storm
- New Main and Side Missions – More story and more to do; TTS placeholders of previous missions as well as all-new fully-voiced story content.
- New Activities, Mini-Missions, and Challenges – A new system means more to explore.
- New Companion – Watch out for more news soon!
- New Light Fighter Class: The Vanguard – Watch out for more news soon!
- Increased Level Cap – Get those numbers up, rookies! More levels mean more perks to explore!
ROCKFISH Games delivered an absolute blast of a sequel with EVERSPACE 2 and we have its wonderful Accolades Trailer to prove it, alongside the Incursions Update, the teaser trailer for its Drake: Gang Wars update, Xbox Game Pass arrival trailer, Zharkov: The Vortex Update, First Early Access Update trailer, detailed roadmap reveal, Early Access Preview, and Early Access Launch announcement trailer. EVERSPACE 2 started its journey as a Kickstarter project during which it showcased in-game locations, HOTAS support, exclusive Closed Beta, gameplay trailers, Closed Alpha, and Concept Art.
Its Early Access launch was delayed on two separate occasions, one in March 2020 and then again in November 2020. Its Kickstarter campaign had a massive goal of $493,000 which was achieved on its final campaign day. The developer kept gamers in the loop with a regular influx of new information during this period. We were lucky enough to get our hands on an early access prototype of the game back in May 2020 for our preview.
