Two weeks before its launch, Abrakam Entertainment and Richard Garfield have released the combat trailer for Roguebook, their upcoming roguelike deckbuilder. Richard Garfield is the creator of Magic: The Gathering and has worked alongside Abrakam Entertainment to develop the upcoming roguelike Deckbuilder Roguebook. The latest trailer details the in-game combat and how players will be fighting using the in-game card system.
Roguebook features four unique heroes to choose from for your two-hero party. Each hero is unique and comes with their own unique strengths and weaknesses in the game. Sharra can cut down enemies with power, Sorocco is able to block enemy attacks with resolve, Aurora wields magic with talent and Seifer can unleash his rage against attacking enemies. Using their unique cards, you can develop strategies to annihilate anything that comes your way.
The game tells you at the start of every turn what the enemy will use during their turn so you can prepare accordingly and choose between defense or offense. A good balance between offense and defense will ensure your success in the game. Using the right cards at the right time will also allow you to land combos for a crushing defeat. If you lose a game, the current run will be over and you will be required to start all over again. Check out the new combat trailer for Roguebook below:
