New Roguelike Pangeon Pays Tribute to Classic Dungeon Crawlers

Review Pangeon

Polish indie developer MrCaistku and publishers Gaming Factory S.A. and Ultimate Games S.A. have announced that their brand new roguelike Pangeon is now available on PC via Steam. According to the developers, Pangeon pays tribute to the classic dungeon crawlers as it combines the best elements known from various games of the genre and presents them in a complete package.

Pangeon focuses on singleplayer experience and in the game, players try to make their way through mysterious dungeons and eliminate a host of monsters. The whole mission pretty much plays out like a suicidal challenge as if the player dies, they begin fresh and lose all the loot they’ve found in the previous run. The name of the game ‘Pangeon’ is essentially an organization located in the unknown dungeons of the game.

The key goal of this organization is to destroy the entire planet and it is up to the players to try and stop them. The game features retro aesthetics and these are apparent in both the audio and visual of the game. The game offers around 8 diverse levels and each level comes with its own unique challenges, enemies, and items. 10 different types of weapons are also available to players for taking care of the enemies.

Key features of Pangeon include:

  • A retro-style roguelike;
  • 8 diverse levels;
  • Audio-visual style harking back to the classics;
  • Dungeons filled with secrets;
  • 10 types of weapons.

Pangeon is initially available on PC via Steam however the developer plans to release the game on PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch as well before the end of 2021. You can head over to the official Steam page of Pangeon if you want to dive into the game or add it to your wishlist.
