A PLUS JAPAN and Crunchyroll have announced the global release of Lord of Nazarick for mobile devices. Lord of Nazarick is a turn-based role-playing game inspired by the popular anime and light novel series Overlord. Set to launch this fall on Android and iOS devices, the game invites you into a fantastical world where magic and might collide.
Lord of Nazarick is expected to make its debut just before the global theatrical release of Overlord: The Sacred Kingdom, which premieres in the U.S. and Canada on November 8. This timing allows both new and long-time you to dive back into the Overlord universe with a fresh perspective, whether they’re revisiting the anime on Crunchyroll or exploring new game content.

The game will be the first to fully integrate the Crunchyroll Login feature, enhancing the free-to-play experience for Crunchyroll Premium members. Logging in with your Premium account will unlock special rewards, including in-game currency, a battle pass, and exclusive access to events tied to Crunchyroll’s theatrical and e-commerce platforms. This integration aims to provide a richer experience for Crunchyroll’s large user base.
Lord of Nazarick follows the story of Momonga, a player who becomes trapped in his favorite MMORPG and assumes the role of Sorcerer King Ainz Ooal Gown. The game promises to expand on the anime’s epic storyline, with new scenarios filled with intrigue, betrayal, and dark humor. You will be able to summon and level up over 50 iconic characters, including fan favorites like Albedo and Shalltear Bloodfallen, with more characters to be added in future updates.
The gameplay will focus on strategic battles, allowing you to build a party from five different classes and three unique attributes to create the ultimate team. Beyond the main story, the game features rogue-lite dungeons, boss challenges, and mini-games, offering diverse gameplay options. The game’s stunning 3D visuals and high-quality animation aim to bring the world of Overlord to life, allowing you to explore familiar locations like the Great Tomb of Nazarick and Carne Village.
Lord of Nazarick also offers cooperative play, enabling you to join forces with friends to form alliances and participate in alliance wars for exclusive rewards. For those seeking a competitive edge, the game includes PvP combat, where you can challenge others, climb the leaderboards, and earn coveted prizes.
As of now, we do not have a confirmed release date for the title. However, we do know that it will arrive in Fall 2024, and it may arrive around November’s first half to coincide with the release of the movie. You can now pre-register on the Google Play Store and App Store to ensure that you are one of the first players to jump into the game when it comes out.
