Developer Lost Turnip has announced the release of Run From Mummies, a 2D action-adventure game set to launch on Steam and PS5 on November 6, 2024. This fast-paced, puzzle-driven adventure challenges you to escape from ancient dangers and solve tricky traps, all while outwitting a horde of mummified foes.
In Run From Mummies, a seemingly harmless sightseeing trip turns into a frantic race for survival when an unsuspecting group of tourists accidentally awakens a long-dead pharaoh and his band of cursed minions. Armed with nothing but a camera, you must navigate the perilous corridors of a booby-trapped pyramid, using the camera’s flash to momentarily stun the advancing mummies and activate traps to help outsmart their foes.

The game spans seven diverse regions, each offering its own set of enemies, tricky traps, and fearsome boss battles. From shifting sands to eerie tombs, every area presents new hazards that will test your wit and agility. Adding to the variety, you can choose from an eccentric roster of tourists, each with unique abilities and playstyles, ensuring a fresh experience in every run.
Run From Mummies can be played solo, or with up to three friends in multiplayer mode, providing an exciting cooperative experience where you work together to outsmart the relentless mummies. Whether playing locally or via Steam Remote Play, teamwork, and quick thinking are essential to survive.
Key features of Run From Mummies include fast-paced camera-based action, where you use the camera’s flash to stun enemies and activate environmental traps. The game also offers a wide range of environments, each with its distinctive challenges and puzzles, as well as memorable boss battles.
