Sci-fi RTS Drone Swarm Gets a New Gameplay Teaser Trailer

astragon Entertainment and stillalive studios have released a brand-new gameplay teaser trailer of their upcoming sci-fi RTS Drone Swarm. The new teaser trailer showcases more of the gameplay details of their newest project. The game is currently part of the Steam Game Festival where you will be able to feel the full power of the 32,000 drones.

Drone Swarm is officially described as:

Control 32000 space-drones in this real-time swarm-strategy game. With their help, you must defend your mothership against alien attacks: build a shield wall using the drones by drawing a defensive formation to intercept any shots of your opponents. While defending the Argo is very important, so is engaging the enemies by drawing attack paths, using physical maneuvers, or utilizing the environment to destroy their ships. You are mankind’s last hope of survival.

Apart from the gameplay teaser, the developer also released a much more detailed gameplay developer diary for the game as well. This developer diary shed some light on how combat works in the game along with the general gameplay of the game. Check it out below:

Additional details about Drone Swarm will be shared later by the developers at a later stage in the form of new developer diaries. If you want to experience a small chunk of the game, you can do so during the ongoing Steam Game Festival. An early version of the game is available to players during this time and it will let you experience just how does it feel to control 32,000 drones at the same time.

Drone Swarm is slated for release on PC via Steam at the end of 2020. A confirmed release date will be announced at a later stage.
