Below we have detailed how to unlock the Tale of Eternal Sorrow in Sea of Thieves: A Pirate’s Life

How to Unlock

This commendation can only be unlocked after you defeat the Kraken sent by the Siren Queen, your next objective will be to go to the Queen’s room. But you shouldn’t do that or you will not be able to unlock the Tale of Eternal Sorrow commendation.

Instead, unlock the captain’s quarters using the Silver Blade key to take the Chest of Everlasting Sorrow. The chest will have a crying sound coming from inside it and you need to take it with you.

The next step is to climb up the ladder from the mast of the ship to continue on the path ahead. This leads you into a cave section with rock faces on the walls. One of the faces with water flowing out from the eyes has a wooden door covered in red below it. With the chest in hand, go towards the door and into this burial chamber.

There will be 5 inscriptions on the walls inside the chamber that you need to interact with and read. Take your time to go through each line to make sure it counts as read. When you read the last inscription, the Tale of Eternal sorrow will be automatically unlocked
