For Honor is not leaving holiday festivities behind and its own limited-time seasonal event Zhanhu’s Gambit is now live in the game until January 2, 2020. The seasonal event will give players a chance to unlock exclusive new customization items, a new game mode, and much more content. Zhanhu’s Gambit is now live across all platforms and players can jump in the holiday spirit to unlock exclusive new items and rewards.
Zhanhu’s Gambit delves into the journey of Sun Da and his role in the conflict between the Wu Lin and the Blackstone Legion. You will be able to play a limited-time game mode Emperor’s Escape currently live in the game to celebrate the holiday season where you will be able to unlock exclusive new items and rewards themed around the event. Rewards include orders, arcade quests, outfits, effects, emotes, weapons and ornaments.
Emperor’s Escape is a four-player PvE mode where players will re-live the escape of the Wu Lin Emperor from the Blackstone Legion in the aftermath of their conflict at Qiang Pass. Players will be required to protect the Emperor against hordes of enemies and escort him to safety. This will be done in the form of capturing zones and eliminating enemies along the way. After every zone, players will start to experience harder and harder enemy waves.
Emperor will only move to a new zone after it is captured and safe. Players will need to capture and secure one zone at a time and keep doing it until the Emperor escapes. The enemies will certainly not make this any easy as players progress through the zones, they will start encountering ‘cursed’ enemies with special modifiers. Players will need to use teamwork and skill to keep the Emperor safe and alive until the Blackstone commander is defeated.
Ubisoft has also announced that from now until January 6, 2020, players can purchase the exclusive Zhanhu’s Gambit Bundle at 45,000 Steel per Hero and get access to brand items including outfits, emotes, ornaments and effects. The developer is continuing support for the game in its fourth year which is titled ‘Year of the Reckoning’. During this year, Ubisoft will release more free content including four new Seasons, two new Heroes and new Armor Sets.
