SEGA has announced that it will be attending Gamescom 2022 and has also shared the lineup that it will be bringing to the event. The highlight of SEGA’s Gamescom 2022 lineup is probably the very first hands-on for Sonic Frontiers. Fans of Sonic will be able to experience the wonders of Starfall Island in Sonic’s new open-zone platforming adventure.
Apart from SEGA’s own booth, Sonic Frontiers will also be playable at TIKTOK’s stand in Hall 7 where Head of Sonic Team, Takashi Iizuka will make a guest appearance on Friday 26, 2022. He will also hold a meet and greet with the fans. Apart from Sonic Frontiers, SEGA is also bringing a plethora of strategy titles including Company of Heroes 3, Total War: WARHAMMER III, Humankind, and Two Point Campus. All of the games will be playable at SEGA’s booth.
Company of Heroes 3 will have a 1v1 multiplayer map set in Italy to play versus the AI, or a sample mission from the North Africa single-player experience. Apart from its strategy lineup, SEGA will also have Persona 4 Arena Ultimax available to play amidst a myriad of Persona-themed merchandise on display from Shop ATLUS. All of the fans who attend the stall will be able to grab a discount code along with an opportunity to have their picture taken with the life-sized Morgana character.
Fans of the Endless series will be happy to know that the latest entry on the title Endless Dungeon by Amplitude will also be available to play. Apart from this, exhilarating arena fighter Demon Slayer -Kimetsu No Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles, and Soul Hackers 2, the new supernatural RPG from ATLUS will also be playable at the stand. Soul Hackers 2 is releasing on August 26 so fans will get a chance to try out the game right before its release.
Finally, SEGA’s brand-new sci-fi shooter HYENAS will also be available on the stand however it will serve as a gravity-defying photo experience for attendees, complete with props, including but not limited to, inflatable unicorns, boom boxes, and arcade cabinets.
