Activision, FromSoftware, and Laced Records have announced the release of the complete soundtrack of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice on deluxe quadruple vinyl and double CD. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is the Game of the Year 2019 and it is the most challenging game by the developers behind Dark Souls franchise and Bloodborne. Set in a fictional 16th century Japan, Sekiro lets you play as a shinobi Wolf trying to protect the young Divine Heir Kuro.
Both the vinyl and the CD sets feature 50 tracks by the lead composer Yuka Kitamura (Bloodborne, Dark Souls III) and co-composer Noriyuki “α” Asakura (Tenchu series). The dramatic score is filled with Japanese instruments, orchestral and choral elements and outlandish and mysterious sounds that really set the mood of the players according to the theme of the game.
All of the music has been specially mastered for the vinyl and CD. The vinyl set comes with audiophile-quality, heavyweight 180g discs, with the Limited Edition (Exclusive to Laced Records’ store) featuring cream and black LPs (traditional black for the Standard Edition). These come in spined inners sleeves that slip into a deluxe Wibalin wrapped case. The double CD set comes with an artwork booklet and outer slipcase. The sleeve artwork was created by illustrator and concept-artist Anato Finnstark.
Preorders for the Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice (Original Soundtrack) Limited Edition quadruple vinyl and double CD are now live via Laced Records and will ship in December 2020. The quadruple vinyl will cost you $80 and Double CD set will cost you $20.
