How to Catch Sharks in Animal Crossing New Horizons
The four types of Sharks you will find in the game are:
Name |
Time |
Bells |
Saw Shark | 4 pm – 9 am | 12,000 |
Hammerhead Shark | 4 pm – 9 am | 8,000 |
Whale Shark | All Day | 13,000 |
Great White Shark | 4 pm – 9 am | 15,000 |
Except for the Whale Shark which can be found all day, the rest of the three Sharks spawn after 4 pm and can be caught all throughout the night and early morning until 9 am. This gives you a big window to catch fishes whether you venture out to fish in the night or early morning.
Sharks are identified by the big outline their bodies show in the water. They are found in the Sea, so you don’t need to waste your time looking for them in rivers or ponds. Sharks are also identifiable by their fins that poke out from the water. However, this does not differentiate them from other Sharks as it is a common physical appearance shared by all the Sharks in the game.
You can also increase your chances of catching the type of Shark you want by using Manila Clams as bait to lure the fish before you can catch them. When you use the bait, try casting the line as far in the water as you can, this will prompt the sharks to spawn to your location.
