Shrek Joins PowerWash Simulator in Latest DLC

Developer FuturLab and publisher Square Enix Collective have announced the latest DLC to arrive in PowerWash Simulator. The latest PowerWash Simulator DLC arrives in the form of the beloved world of DreamWorks Animation’s Shrek, set to launch on October 10, 2024. Available on PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch, this Shrek Special Pack will let you dive into the whimsical world of Shrek, armed with an array of power washers to bring back its fairy tale charm.

In this new DLC, you are tasked with cleaning up some of the most iconic locations from the Shrek universe. The adventure begins at Shrek’s Swamp, where you must restore the muddy, cluttered home of the ogre to its original quirky glory. The swamp, covered in glittery goop, provides a high-contrast clean-up challenge that’s as visually satisfying as it is detailed. For the first time, you can step inside Shrek’s home and experience the detailed recreation of this iconic setting after they’ve washed away all the muck.

From there, you can venture to the pristine town of Duloc, now featuring a unique collection of art left behind by artistically inclined yet disgruntled knights. Another stop is the Fairy Godmother’s Potion Factory, a well-known location from Shrek 2, now brought to life with meticulously recreated, functioning machinery. You will have the task of cleaning the factory’s inner workings, making sure not to gum up the cogs of the potion empire.

Next on the cleaning list is the Dragon’s Lair. What was once a glimmering hoard has lost its luster, and it’s up to you to reveal the hidden treasures beneath the dirt. The lair holds more than just gold and jewels, with plenty of easter eggs for fans of the Shrek universe to discover. Lastly, Hansel’s Honeymoon Hideaway, a candy-coated cottage, is in desperate need of a power wash to bring it back to its gingerbread glory.

As you tackle these messy challenges, they’ll receive messages from familiar faces, adding to the charm and humor of the Shrek universe. True to PowerWash Simulator’s style, the campaign can be enjoyed solo or in co-op mode with a friend, and up to six of you in free-play mode.

The Shrek Special Pack adds a delightful twist to the power washing experience as you get to clean one of the most iconic worlds from your childhood. The DLC will be available for $7.99 on all platforms. PowerWash Simulator is currently available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store along with PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
