Fans of The Walking Dead community have been skeptical on completion of The Walking Dead: The final Season. Telltale games without notice had a major layoff of their employees. If you speak about the numbers, the team was down to last 25 developers at Telltale that were working on the remaining episodes.
Just recently, Skybound Games announced that they have made a deal with Telltale games and it will help in completion of The Final Season. This announcement was made in a tweet by Skybound Games.

The Walking Dead: The Final Season will be overtaken by a Skybound’s internal game development team. The tweet does not tell much on the team that will work further on the reamining episodes. However, we will come to know more in days to come.
The sudden, unannounced massive layoff from Telltale has put The Walking Dead: The Final Season off the tracks. The community have been disappointed the most from the developers. However, the recent deal of Telltale and Skybound games is a sigh of relief.
Since majority of Telltale employees were laid off, unannounced or without a notice. The employees are filing now a class-action lawsuit against the company. The lawsuit aims at unfair layoff without a prior notice and that the company is obliged to pay all staff with a 60 days of pay and benefits. This regulation falls under California employment law.
The coming days will tell what becomes of the lawsuit, till then we have a sigh of relief that The Walking Dead: The Final Season is back in action. Let us know more your thoughts or reaction about massive layoff from Telltale games in comments section below.
