SOEDESCO has announced that it is teaming up with VOX Game Studio for the publishing of their upcoming 2D platformer Kaze and the Wild Masks. The colorful 2D platformer is inspired by the 90s classics developed by VOX Game Studio which is a Brazilian indie developer that has been passionately working on the title since 2015.
In Kaze and the Wild Masks, players journey through the Crystal Islands in classic 90’s platforming style. You play as Kaze who is out on a mission to save your friend Hogo from a curse that has widespread across the islands and is causing chaos. You will face enraged living vegetables by invoking the powers of the Wild Masks. You will have the abilities to pounce like a tiger, soar through the sky like an eagle and sprint fiercely like a lizard. You can even swim through the sea like a shark.
The game has been inspired by the golden age of platformers and features simple yet intuitive mechanics coupled with difficult challenges, iconic bosses and satisfying platforming. The game is heavily inspired by titles such as Donkey Country 2 and Super Mario World. Players will experience the game’s own identity with colorful modern pixel art graphics that were a signature of the 90s.

Andre Schaan, CEO of VOX Game Studio, said:
We’re excited to join forces with SOEDESCO and make Kaze a rabbit to remember. Their experience with publishing platform and pixel art games such as Teslagrad and Owlboy will be a great benefit to Kaze and the Wild Masks.
Bas de Jonge, Marketing Manager at SOEDESCO also commented at the partnership of Kaze and the Wild Masks:
No publisher’s line-up is complete without a rabbit, so we’re very happy to have Kaze on board. We love the 90’s vibe that Kaze brings back with its fantastic looking pixel art, and after all, who doesn’t like rabbits.
Key features of Kaze and the Wild Masks include:
- Unleash the skills of the Wild Masks to get powers from the tiger, eagle, lizard, and shark
- Uncover the secrets of the Crystal Islands in 30+ levels with over 50 bonus levels
- Relive your childhood memories of classic platformers with high-quality frame by frame pixel art
