A new year has started and Sony has officially kicked off 2021 with the reveal of the free PS Plus titles that members will be able to play in January 2021. With the recent launch of the new PS5, Sony is now offering a free PS5 title in the mix as well. Previously, Sony shrunk down the list to just 2 PS4 titles per month however with the release of the new console, Sony is now giving an additional title for new console owners as well.
In January 2021, PS4 players will get two titles Greedfall and Shadow of the Tomb Raider however players who managed to get their hands on the new PS5 console released last November can play the PS5 version of Maneater which was originally released on the PS4. While the PS4 players are getting two amazing titles, the PS5 title is no slouch either and is a full shark RPG which plenty of fun mechanics and killer shark action.
Greedfall is an action RPG that was released last year by Focus Home Interactive and was considered an exceptionally well title. It offered a big world and decent RPG mechanics featuring magic, riches, lost secrets, and fantastic creatures. The game offers the freedom to progress in the game using diplomacy, deception, and force. If you love RPGs, Greedfall is going to keep you busy for a long time.
The second PS4 title is Shadow of the Tomb Raider which is the third and concluding title in the new Tomb Raider reboot series. It concludes the journey of Lara Croft which started in the original Tomb Raider released in 2013. Shadow of the Tomb Raider was released back in 2018 and features some of the most diverse environments for you to explore including dense jungles and underwater environments. If, for some reason, you missed playing this title until now, now is your chance to finally explore the finale of Lara Croft’s journey at no cost at all.
PS5 players are getting the shark title Maneater which was released back in May 2020. It is an action RPG and revolves around the story of a terrifying shark who is out for revenge. As a shark, you get to explore various areas, fight huge water creatures, develop your skills, and finally take out the humans who took everything from you.
All three titles offer hours and hours of fun gameplay making this month a solid month for PS Plus subscribers. If you still have to add the last month’s free PS Plus titles to your library, then you have until January 5, 2020, to add them to your library as this is when they will be replaced with January’s free lineup.
