How to Tame and Ride Turkeys in Spelunky 2
Turkeys are one of the newest animals added to the game and they are extremely useful in moving around in the game. Not only do they have great speed for running around but they can also double jump and glide to reach areas that are not accessible otherwise. In order to tame and ride turkeys, all you need is to find a turkey and jump on it. Taming takes around 3, 4 seconds during which the turkey will run here and there frantically.
Make sure that you do not release the jump button so that you can continue to mount the turkey after jumping on it and while it is running here and there. Once the turkey becomes friendly, it will stop running and you can then ride it around the levels without any trouble. If you have to get off the turkey, simply jump off it and it will remain at its place waiting for you to come back. In addition, if the turkey tries to run into a trap or a large drop, jump off it because it will kill you and itself.
Get Access to Yang’s Treasure with Turkeys
Spelunky 2 is full of different NPCs as well and one of them is called Yang who loves Turkeys and will give you access to his secret treasure if you can bring him some turkeys. When you meet Yang, you will notice that Yang already has a turkey, but he wants more turkeys if you want to access his secret treasure. Once you’ve met Yang, search the map for Turkeys and keep bringing Turkeys to Yang until he gives you the key. Once you get the key, go inside the turkey holding area and open the cage-like door to get access to Yang’s secret treasure.
