Boss Battles Guide – Spider-Man: Miles Morales

Our Spider-Man: Miles Morales Boss Battles Guide details everything that you need to know about all of the bosses in Spider-Man: Miles Morales.

Boss #1 – Rhino (Part 1)

The very first boss that you will face in Spider-Man: Miles Morales is Rhino. This boss battle has different phases. For the very first phase, you will be chasing after Rhino as it charges through the city. Spider-Man will be accompanying you for this fight. For the first part of the chase, you will be swinging while Spider-Man will be sitting on Rhino trying to stop his charge. While running you will be required to avoid some rocks and other things with some QTEs. Eventually, you will end up on Rhino’s shoulders will need to guide him through a shopping mall.

Use the left joystick to move Rhino left and right in a bid to avoid any obstacles but that would appear to be impossible. Some occasional QTEs will pop up here to be ready to press the buttons quickly. Once you leave the shopping center, you will be back on the street. You will once again go back to swinging at this point so just keep chasing after Rhino and avoiding the stuff that he throws at you. Eventually, Rhino will crash into a big inflammable tower which will cause a big explosion.

Watch the cutscene and then some prisoners will arrive in a white van. Eliminate all of the prisoners quickly and then move to the marker to trigger the next phase of the boss battle with Rhino. When the battle begins, you will have your new Venom Punch unlocked. Get ready to use this in your battle against Rhino. Since you cannot just span Venom Punch because of the Venom meter, every time that you use a Venom Punch, you will stun Rhino which will give you a good window for landing some hits on him.

Rhino hits harder than a tank so you cannot expect to go head-to-head with him. His punches will take away a lot of your health and will also send you back flying. You must be very quick on your dodge skills for these boss battles. Keep at a distance while Rhino is trying to land his punches at you. For its size, Rhino is surprisingly pretty quick and will land a powerful fist attack after jumping at you. Make sure you dodge this particular attack. Your goal here is to keep recharging your Venom gauge by dodging and then when it’s full, land a Venom Punch and stun Rhino to deal damage.

Rhino will also sometimes pick a rock from the ground and throw it at you. You will need to dodge it as well. However, just keep charging your Venom attack and keep dealing damage until Rhino picks you up and throws you inside the warehouse. At this point, Rhino will add a charge attack to its mix, and you will be able to ride him with a QTE. Keep following the Venom Punch strategy and soon you will trigger another QTE cutscene which will lead to the next phase of the boss battle. It is pretty much similar to the last phase. Keep at it and you will soon defeat Rhino for good.

Boss #2 – Rhino (Part 2)

You will come across Rhino once again while you are exploring Krieger’s Lab with Phin. This time around, Rhino has a new armor plate and is also immune to your Venom Stuns with the Venom Punch. Your best move against Rhino this time around is using dodge to get on top of him and running him into different things around you. Aim for the tanks sitting in the hall and they will explode when Rhino crashes into them. This will cause his armor to break a little and also stun him. Once Rhino is stunned, keep hitting him until you break off some of his armor.

Once he is back on his feet, get back, and wait for another opportunity to get on top of him. Use the same strategy and this time, aim for another tank. This will stun him and give you a window again. As you are moving around, watch out for enemy soldiers as well as they will try to hit you as well. Watch out for their attacks as well. When Rhino starts throwing tanks at you, dodge the tank and then quickly throw the tank’s engine at Rhino to weaken his armor. This is the second phase of the battle. A charged engine will stun Rhino and give you a chance to land some attacks. When Rhino’s Roxxon’s armor is broken, you can follow the same strategy with the Venom Punches as already explained in the previous section of the guide to eliminate Rhino once and for all.

Prowler

Your next boss battle comes in the shape of none other than Prowler. Prowler has his cloaking tech which allows him to go invisible and he will use it for his advantage. You can begin to land some attacks by dodging at the right time to avoid his attacks and then countering him with some attacks of your own. However, you should use the Venom attacks to gain a real advantage over him in the battle. Using Venom attacks with short his camouflage skills and will give you a chance to deal additional damage to the boss in peace.

Every time Prowler attacks, he will take 1 second to charge his attack which will give you a good idea about where his attack is coming from. This way you can quickly dodge his attacks when he appears fully. For the second phase of the battle, Prowler will introduce a powerful beam attack which requires a second to charge as well before it is fired from Prowler’s arm. A laser-pointer shows where the attack will go so you can easily dodge this attack when it is about to land. After dodging, stick with Venom attacks to gain a short window every time to deal a fair amount of damage to the boss.

Eventually, Prowler will spawn a few holograms who will start attacking you as well so this around, every time you are beating Prowler, you will need to watch your back because an attack will always come from there whether is a ranged-attack or a melee attack by one of the holograms. Keep fighting Prowler and when the holograms appear, land a combo on them and they will disappear for some time. Throw some finishers as well during the fight. Keep this up and soon Prowler will go down and you will win the fight.

Tinkerer (Final Boss Battle)

The final boss battle in the game is between you and Tinkerer in the game. Tinkerer’s weapon has a long-range and she will also block most of the attacks so a direct confrontation does not always work with her. She is also quite nimble on her feet so she will get in really quickly and land some attacks on you if you are not quick to dodge. Apart from her close attacks, she will also extend her sword for a long-range swiping attack. You can jump or dodge to avoid this attack as well. Another important thing to note here is that when you get in to land some punches, do not get greedy because Tinkerer will eventually use her shield to knock you off so quickly get in, land some punches and get back to plan your next move.

After some time, Tinkerer will add a new attack where she will jump in air and come down with a large AoE attack. The range of this attack is marked on the ground so when she comes down to attack, quickly get out of the purple circle surrounding her attack. She is quick and nimble, but you must be even quicker to land some punches and kicks. When she blocks, you can use your web to make her release her block and open for attacks again. Deal enough damage to the boss and eventually, you will trigger the cutscene which leads to the second phase of the battle. For the second phase, you will be fighting at the roof of the destroyed tower.

During this phase, Tinkerer will add a beam attack similar to the attack from Prowler. It will take some time to charge and then will unleash a powerful beam from the sword where it is locked. Dodge the attack and quick web in to land some attacks as she will take a little time to recover from this attack. Keep dealing damage while avoiding hers to trigger the next phase of the battle where Tinkerer will chuck you back inside the tower. A new attack will join Tinkerer’s arsenal once again as she will throw several plasma grenades which will explore after some time so make sure that you stay out of their blast zones.

Apart from her grenade launcher, she will also deploy some drones that will continue to fire at you until you destroy them. These are extremely annoying so the sooner you get rid of these turrets, the better the boss fight becomes. If you are having trouble at this section of the boss fight, simply destroy the turrets first and you will notice a major improvement in the battle. You can even pick up and throw the turrets at Phin to destroy the turrets and deal damage at the same time as well. Keep this up and you will trigger another cutscene leading to the final phase of the battle.

During the final phase of the battle, Tinkerer will unleash her final attack which Miles calls Death Wheels. These are powerful and highly damaging wheels that start from the Tinkerer’s location and goes out in straight-line dealing damage to everything they touch. Tinkerer launches multiple wheels or could be a single wheel at the same time so you have to be in the air to avoid this attack at all costs. During this phase, the boss will use all of her attacks so you must be prepared to counter all of them. Land some combos, add Venom attacks, and throw in some finishers to deal damage to the boss while avoiding her attacks. Keep at it and you will soon trigger the ending sequence of the game.
