Just Cause: Mobile will expand on the series and deliver the explosive action of the Just Cause universe to mobile devices. The game will offer both single-player and multiplayer experiences with on-the-go grappling, gliding, and shooting. One of the main things that some players might not like is that the game will feature top-down gameplay which is completely different from the regular Just Cause franchise. The game will however feature in-game cutscenes and fully voiced characters.
Players will also have the ability to customize their agents and join Firebrand, a special division within the covert organization, The Agency. Your main mission in the game is to stop the new mercenary group called Darkwater. This group is made up of ex-Black Hand military forces from overseas that are now a major threat to The Agency across the globe. You start your journey in the game as a new recruit of Firebrand and your day one kicks off with a major attack on the game and you barely make it out alive.
You are further ordered by the Firebrand leader Carmen Padrón to further investigate the mercenary group Darkwater and track down additional allies to assist you on your mission, including the former agency partner Rico Rodriguez. As you progress in the main campaign, you will come across different well-known characters from the Just Cause franchise who will give you important intel on the enemy and help you out as you embark on your missions. You will also team up with battle-hardened mercenaries such as Annika & Teo from Just Cause 3 and locate the whereabouts of Rico Rodriguez.
Just Cause: Mobile will take place across three sprawling open-world locations around the world as you track down Darkwater and take them out using a huge arsenal of weapons, vehicles, and gadgets at your disposal. You will be able to expand and upgrade your loadout as you take part in the main campaign, multiplayer, and challenge mode missions in the game. At this point, we have not yet seen the actual gameplay for Just Cause: Mobile, and all we have seen are cinematic trailers. Just Cause: Mobile is slated for release on iOS and Android in 2021 for free.
