Hello, the day is almost here! On February 25th, we will be sending out the first batch of order emails to reservation holders. Customers will have 3 days (72 hours) from receipt of their order email to make their purchase, before their reservation is released to the next person in the queue. The first units will be on their way to customers starting the 28th, and we plan to release new order email batches on a weekly cadence.

Additional details for the curious:

  • We will start sending invites shortly after 10:00 am on February 25th, PST
  • Order emails are sent in the same order that reservations were made.
  • You can only order the Steam Deck model that you originally reserved.
  • Your reservation deposit will be applied to the final price of Steam Deck, and shipping costs are included.

This announcement further assures fans who have been excited since the reveal of the portable console. Steam Deck was originally planned for a release last year in December, the same year it was announced back in July 2021. However, it was delayed for two months until February.

Steam Deck is a new powerful portable gaming console that Valve is bringing into the industry, which is currently dominated by mobile devices and the Nintendo Switch console. By being a PC in itself, it lets you play all the games in your Steam library by running a special version of SteamOS, and also highlighting how each of your games will run on the device.

Steam Deck comes packed with an AMD Zen 2 processor, AMD RDNA 2 GPU, 16 GB of RAM, and 612 GB internal storage capacity.
