Games Box S.A. has revealed its brand-new title Primitive which is a primal survival game, and the trailer shows its impressive visuals running in Unreal Engine 5. In Primitive, players will experience the savage realities of the Stone Age and encounter iconic animals such as mammoths, saber-toothed tigers, different hostile tribes of Neanderthals, and the very first Homo Sapiens as well.
The release date of the game is yet to be announced however you can check out the reveal trailer of Primitive below:
As revealed by Games Box S.A., Primitive will offer a promising open world with plenty of action-adventure mechanics with different FPP/TPP modes at launch. The game is aiming to be a single-player experience and it will include basic survival elements like survival, combat, exploration, hunting, shelter building, and crafting. The player will face different perils such as hostile beasts, competing tribes, basic needs, and harsh weather conditions. For basic needs, the player will hunt for meat and look for clean water to drink along with gathering resources for making sure that they have a warm place to spend the night, away from the cold, harsh winter.
Tomasz Supeł, CEO of Games Box S.A commented:
The project is still at its early development stage. Thinking of similar games, Primitive is close to such titles as Far Cry Primal, yet our concept focuses more strongly on showing the primal character of a real world from many thousands of years ago, where it all boiled down to raw power, as well as a fight for dominance and survival.
The Stone Age is such a compelling time. The lives of the first people were dominated by savage and primordial forces, and the world was packed to the brim with imminent danger creeping in like no other. The open-world game Primitive will combine brutal survival with elements typical of other genres, to finally create a unique and hypnotizing blend.
If you love seeing beautiful sights and highly detailed environments, you will be happy to know that Primitive is under development in Unreal Engine 5 and the developers aim to use the full visual capacity of the all-new and powerful Unreal Engine 5 to deliver a stellar visual experience.
The game will show a Stone Age in its prime thousands of years ago when the planet was inhabited by Neanderthals and Homo Sapiens. The game will feature diverse territories such as warm and verdant landscapes to ice-capped mountain areas. You will be able to choose suitable outfits for each of these regions and craft new weapons and equipment in order to survive out in the wilderness. The game will also feature a dynamic weather system to give it a more realistic touch.
Key features of Primitive include:
- Primal survival
- Combat, exploration, hunting
- The Stone Age
- Mighty beasts and hostile tribes
- Open world
- Neanderthals and Homo sapiens
