Diplomacy plays a vital role in Stronghold: Warlords however how this particular mechanic works in Stronghold: Warlords is different from most strategy titles that we have seen in the past. Unlike most strategic titles, diplomacy is simply a currency here and we have curated this Stronghold: Warlords Diplomacy Guide for you in which we will guide you on how you can generate more Diplomacy points and use them to control various warlords in the game.
Diplomacy Guide – Stronghold: Warlords
Our Stronghold: Warlords Diplomacy Guide details everything that you need to know about diplomacy in Stronghold: Warlords.
How Diplomacy Works in Stronghold: Warlords
Normally, diplomacy means holding talks with other nations and coming to decisions that are mutually beneficial for both nations however this is not how diplomacy works in Stronghold: Warlords. Here, diplomacy is simply a mechanic where you earn more diplomacy points and then use these points to control various warlords scattered around the maps. These warlords are third-party, AI-controlled enemies that do not belong to any major faction in the game however each comes with its own strengths and bonuses that you can avail given that you have diplomacy points.
Earning Diplomacy Points in Stronghold: Warlords
Your keep or castle generates Diplomacy Points regularly in the game however along with gold, it will also generate 1 Diplomacy point for you regularly along with your gold. However, if you want to earn more Diplomacy Points in the game, you can construct buildings like the Consulate and Emissary to increase your Diplomacy Point generation in the game. These buildings cost gold and can be placed anywhere in your settlement to increase your Diplomacy Point generation.
For an additional boost, you can also connect these buildings with your keep or castle that will allow them to generate even more Diplomacy Points. Apart from these methods, you do not have any other way of earning these points in the game so if you want to control as many warlords as you can, you better start generating these Diplomacy Points as soon as possible in the game. Once you have acquired enough diplomacy points, you can use them to ‘buy-out’ warlords and then later issue them Edicts which are various commands and benefits that each warlord can provide you in the game.
