SUBROV: Underwater Discoveries is a newly announced deepwater exploration sim that will have you, the pilot, control your own submarine ROV in the depths of the ocean. The game is announced to be released sometime late this year when it will be available on PC.
In SUBROV: Underwater Discoveries, you will control your own submarine ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) to set out exploring the depths of the oceans and perform scientific tasks all around the world.

Pilot a remotely operated submarine and explore the oceans! Take on contracts to chart unknown regions, sample hydrothermal vents and study new species – all while defying the darkness and crushing pressure of the deeps.
You will begin as a trainee and will have to earn your certificate to become a full-fledged pilot to take on contracts to explore and discover the fascinating sights and mysteries of the deep ocean.
The game is developed by sqr3lab and is partially funded by the National Science Foundation while having support from the Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences and Schmidt Ocean Institute. These institutions have provided the developer with all the scientific advice, having their research divers recreate the game.
Key Features:
- Choose from multiple dives with varied objectives, charting the seafloor and performing scientific observations
- Control an oceanographic vessel, a full-ocean-depth rated ROV, and an array of advanced tools including sonar, AI-assisted scanner, articulated arm, temperature sensors, landers, sediment corers and gas samplers
- Rendezvous with ocean buoys and download scientific data and information on new points of interest
- Explore isolated trenches, survey unknown wreckages and study creatures barely known to science
- Visit the Gallery to keep track and learn more about your discoveries
- Gain experience as you complete objectives and climb your way up the ranks from a trainee to a Dive Master
