Developer and publisher Team Meat has released a new teaser trailer of Super Meat Boy Forever. The teaser trailer also confirms that the most anticipated sequel to Super Meat Boy game will release in April 2019.
Team Meat confirmed the April announcement at Kinda Funny Games Showcase which was held December 8, 2018. They also confirmed the platforms on which Super Meat Boy Forever will release. The game was earlier rumored to release on mobile platform only. Now, the game will release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
The platforms are confirmed officially and on PC the game will not release on Steam, but it will release on Epic Games Store. The previous game released on Steam but it looks like Team Meat is prioritizing the new Epic Games Store over Steam platform for Super Meat Boy Forever. If you missed the trailer, watch here.
The trailer captures the very essence of Super Meat Boy. You can see the fast pace jumping and punching of Meat Boy. It looks like Meat Boy is angrier in the sequel as he is seen punching enemies.
There is a little description mentioned on official website of Super Meat Boy Forever. It tells us that Dr. Fetus will return in the game, the gameplay is challenging like before and you will need to put a grip on controls or die a lot.
The official website of Super Meat Boy Forever also highlights the introduction to story of the game. Description mentions that Meat Boy and Bandage Girl together have a little baby named Nugget. Dr. Fetus kidnaps the baby and forces Meat Boy and Bandage Girl to rescue her. This explain all the rage of both parents in Super Meat Boy Forever.
