Super Meat Boy is free on Epic Games Store and everyone can get the game for free until the promotion is running. Super Meat Boy is the second game to come free on Epic Games Store after its launch.
Epic Games recently launched their own online game store to give Steam a tough time. Dubbed as Epic Games Store, it offers different games for sale but the list is currently very little when compared to Steam plus many features are still missing. However, there is one thing that Epic Games is doing in order to attract people and that is free games.
The latest free game on offer to everyone using Epic Games Store, Super Meat Boy, is a very difficult platformer originally released back in 2010. Super Meat Boy is an unforgiving platformer where you will play as a little boy made of meat who wants to simply be with the love of his life but an evil genius keeps taking it away from her.
You will need to clear different worlds to get to her and at the end of each world, there is a boss like level where you will need to overcome different obstacles of the stage and reach the end before the boss kills you. It is a very fast paced and simple game.
There are no complex controls here. A jump button, sprint key and left/right controls are all you need to play the game making it easy to play even without a controller. You will die in the game a lot but the fast paced reload makes every replay almost instant making it a continuous flow of the game.
As you die and move around the stage, the stage gets covered in red blood since you are a meat boy and you drip blood everywhere. The game is also very small in size making it an ideal title for laptops and tablet computers.
