Super Rare Games has revealed its next exclusive physical release for Nintendo Switch, and it is the cool side-scrolling dark-action roguelite Source of Madness. Originally developed by Carry Castle and published by Thunderful Publishing, Source of Madness is a Lovecraftian-inspired roguelite. Source of Madness will receive both a Standard Edition and a SteelBook Edition. This will be the first time that Source of Madness will be released physically for Nintendo Switch.

Super Rare Games will only release 4000 physical copies of Source of Madness and out of these 4000 copies, 2000 will be Standard Edition while 2000 will be the Steelbook Edition. The Standard Edition of Source of Madness will include all of the current content on the cart, a full-color manual, interior artwork, an exclusive sticker, and trading cards. The Steelbook Edition of the game will include all of the above along with a stunning nightmarish steelbook case. The game will ship soon after the orders go live on the official store.
In Source of Madness, you step in the shoes of a new Acolyte who embarks on a nightmarish odyssey in the Loam Lands. The Loam Lands is a twisted Lovecraftian-inspired world where you will get to uncover the secrets of the Loam Lands and The Tower of Madness, the moon’s mysterious Citadel. Key features of Source of Madness include:
- Hordes of nightmarish beasts: The horrific monsters you face are never the same, concocted with procedural generation and animated using a neural network AI.
- Deep gameplay systems: Explosive close-combat magic, labyrinthine environmental exploration, powerful loot management, and a skill tree filled with abilities, classes, and spells.
- Ever-changing landscapes: Rendered in a beautiful AI-assisted art style, the fascinating world of the Loam Lands reveals deep arcane lore as players uncover its many secrets.
