Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC Characters Finalized – Roster is now Complete

The character roster for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is now final and the developers have decided the five DLC characters which will join the game later as part of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Fighters Pass.

This was revealed by Masahiro Sakurai who is currently the director of the project. He informed the fans that this time all characters were chosen by Nintendo and the selection is already complete. His official tweet is as follows.

Apparently, the developers of the game were receiving too many character requests which the fans wanted in the game as DLC characters that Sakurai had to put out another tweet specifically asking the fans that the decision is final and the character roster is final so they should stick to the topic and stop bombarding them with character requests.

Nintendo recently held the final Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Direct event in which they announced the final two characters which will come in the game. The last two characters announced for the game were Ken and Incineroar. Ken is from Street Fighter while Incineroar is from the Pokémon universe.

Online features of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate were also revealed during the same event. More announcements included Spirit Battles which is yet another way to get more Spirits in the game. Future DLC is planned for Super Smash Bros. which will keep coming until February 2020.

Players interested in DLC can purchase one set which includes a new fighter, a new stage and a couple of music tracks for $5.99 or they can opt for the Fighters Pass which will give them access to five new characters, five new stages and many music tracks all of which will be revealed in the future.

Players who purchase the game before January 31, 2019 can also get the Piranha Plant free of cost in the game when it is launched for the game. For those who purchase the game later, they will need to purchase Piranha Plant along with a new stage and music tracks separately.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is slated for release on December 7 exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
